Training

Training is offered to clients in the use of Optimatics' Optimizer software to provide a more detailed understanding of how the optimization process can benefit their project and to gain experience in the use of the software. Optimization training provides clients with the capability of personally reviewing networks within their water authority. The optimization training is a first step for any water authority intending to develop their in-house optimization capabilities.

Training may be done at two levels:

Introductory training - two day course

Clients may elect to carry out a two day introductory training course for a number of staff to obtain a cursory understanding on the OGA process and software. This introduction to GA optimization provides a solid base of understanding for those interested in assessing where GA optimization may prove useful within their water authority.

Comprehensive training - detailed six day course

The comprehensive training package consists of three two-day courses that involves teaching and mentoring participants in the theory of genetic algorithms right through to the use of the Optimatics software for advanced applications. It would be expected that staff undertaking this extensive training would be suitably qualified to use the OGA software to carry out optimization runs in-house, once training has been completed.

Testimonials

"I found the "hands-on" Optimatics training course to be exceptionally useful in providing me with the confidence and understanding to utilise Optimizer. I am very excited about this software and our relationship with Optimatics, as I know that future projects will experience huge financial savings and network improvements as a result. We would be unable to achieve this using conventional network modelling programs."
